    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Clinical Manager assists the Director with all department activity to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of the hospital. Assists in coordinating the department’s participation in performance improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Ensures that nursing care is based on the nursing process and evaluates the effectiveness on an ongoing basis. The Clinical manager is responsible for safe, effective patient care in the department, providing leadership and promotion of staff development.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
    • Current TX RN licensure
    • BCLS required
    • NRP required for Women’s Services
    • AWHONN fetal monitoring course required for L&D nurses without experience
    • AWHONN fetal monitoring course required for L&D nurses with experience
    • Previous clinical experience and expertise in specialty area.

    • STABLE required for nursery nurses
