Regional Retail Store Construction Manager jobs in Portsmouth, OH

Regional Retail Store Construction Manager oversees and directs retail store construction projects within a specified region. Visits construction sites, inspects the work of contractors, resolves issues, and orders store fixtures and/or furnishings. Being a Regional Retail Store Construction Manager coordinates and supervises construction workers and subcontractors and maintains quality control procedures. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Regional Retail Store Construction Manager typically reports to Retail Store Construction Director. The Regional Retail Store Construction Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     We are looking for a reliable Construction Manager to plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects.

    Responsibilities:
    • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
    • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
    • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
    • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
    • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
    • Meet contractual conditions of performance
    • Review the work progress on daily basis
    • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
    • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
    • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
    • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
    • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

    Requirements:
    • Proven working experience in construction management
    • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
    • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
    • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
    • Familiarity with construction management software packages
    • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
    • Competent in conflict and crisis management
    • Leadership and human resources management skills
    • Excellent time and project management skills
    • Degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field preferred

    Job Type: Full-time
    Position is a 40 hour plus overtime. Pay rate is based on level of degree and experience. Retirement is offered with matching funds After 30 days free health insurance for employee. One-week paid vacation after 1 year of employment and 4 paid holidays.

    Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

    • 10 hour shift
    • 12 hour shift
    • 8 hour shift
    • Monday to Friday
    • Weekend availability

    Education:
    • Associate (Preferred)

    Experience:
    • Project management: 5 years (Preferred)
    • Construction Project Managers: 5 years (Preferred)
