Regional Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a region. Manages multiple districts within a region and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each district. Being a Regional Sales Manager designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume. Additionally, Regional Sales Manager collects relevant competitors' market information to increase sales volume and market share. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Regional Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Regional Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Description

    Position Overview:

    Regional Sales Manager establishes sales relationships with existing and prospective customers through industry and product knowledge deploying a solutions-based approach. Also, achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling environmental control equipment for the oil & gas upstream and midstream sectors (flares, enclosed combustors, vapor recovery units, etc.). The successful candidate will have well-established industry connections and reside in their territorial area.

     

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Establishes, fosters, and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the company’s products and services.
    • Makes telephone calls, in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers at corporate and/or field headquarters.
    • Navigates within organizations to influence decision makers using technical, commercial, and solutions-based skills and experience.
    • Research sources for developing prospective customers information to determine their potential.
    • The ability to gather market intelligence in the upstream oil & gas market including competitors.
    • Self-motivated individual with a strong bias toward action.
    • Expedites the resolution of customer challenges and concerns.
    • Ability to execute corporate sales strategy at highest levels within current and prospective customers.
    • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy.
    • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and the potential for new products and services.
    • Supports organizational success with timely communication and coordination with other sales team members.
    • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities and advertising and promotional trend through the reading or pertinent literature.
    • Participate in trade shows and conventions.
    • Adheres to company policies, procedures, and rules.
    • Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
    • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
    • Must be a person of influence with a strong moral compass and impeccable ethics personally and professionally.

    Qualifications


    Basic Qualifications:

    • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
    • 3 years sales experience in oil & gas upstream and midstream environmental control equipment and services.
    • Valid driver’s license: position requires some travel, mostly driving.
    • Demonstrated maturity to work independently and in front of groups.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
