Regional Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a region. Manages multiple districts within a region and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each district. Being a Regional Sales Manager designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume. Additionally, Regional Sales Manager collects relevant competitors' market information to increase sales volume and market share. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Regional Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     As part of our aggressive growth strategy, Liteline is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to expand our presence deeper within the NYC Market.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who is looking to grow with a company and build an established brand.

    Reporting directly into a Co-President, the Regional Sales Manager’s responsibility is to hire and train new sales agencies and direct factory sales managers within their territory. The Regional Sales Manager will also manage the overall relationship of customers and sales reps in the specified territory, to meet sales goals, and increase market share while exceeding customer expectations.

    The role of the Regional Sales Manager is to:

    • · Establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan with measured goals
    • · Manage an independent sales agent and ensure sales are met or exceeded
    • · Be responsible for generating demand in products and identifying business opportunities with rep. and within customer base
    • · Work closely with other members of the team to ensure full engagement in the entire sales process
    • · Strive to achieve long term relationships with customers by ‘value-add’ selling techniques
    • · Keep up to date on product information and industry trends
    • · Monitor competitive trends and pressures within territory
    • · Ability to design and effectively implement both short-term and long-term business strategies
    • · Conduct one-on-one review with Agent to build more effective communications, to understand and development needs, and to provide insights for the improvement of sales
    • · Maintain contact with all customers in the territory area to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

    In our ideal candidate, we are looking for:

    • 5 years of experience in sales management or Lighting design project management
    • A good understanding of the NYC lighting sales process
    • Existing relationships with specifiers, agents, and other customers
    • Detailed oriented, sensitive to customer needs and company requirements
    • Results oriented with strong business acumen
    • Excellent communication skills, ability to articulate technical data, features, and benefits
    • Personable positive attitude
    • Strong customer service focus
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Ability to work individually and as a team
    • Ability to learn and develop sales strategies that clearly define goals, strategies/tactics, and metrics for measuring success
    • Ability to manage all aspects of the relationship between the customers and industry partners
    • Ability to Create Photometric Calculations using AGI or Visual
    • Membership in local lighting-oriented organizations such as DLFNY or IES
    • Must live in the 5 boroughs or on Long Island close to the city
