Regional Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a region. Manages multiple districts within a region and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each district. Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume.   • Travers Tool Company, Inc. is looking for the Regional Sales Manager, who will develop field sales team in the United Sales which will deliver targeted sales goals. This is done through outstanding leadership, hiring A players, coaching team to performance metrics and training to consistently build the teams knowledge and skills. In this position the National Field Sales Manager understands that teamwork with internal and external stakeholders is key to driving a well-orchestrated sales processes and opportunity pipelines. This Manager envisions and develops appropriate value-added services to drive customer and sales dollar retention, wallet share and acquisition of customers.
    Responsibilities:

    • Develop monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecast for strategic locations down to the sales rep level
    • Drive margin dollar growth to forecast for all field sales reps and assigned strategic branch locations
    • 50% of time spent on monitoring, analysing performance metrics and suggesting improvements during ridealong and coaching sessions with sales team
    • Develop relationships with key contacts at top 10% revenue producing customers
    • Develop a virtual bench of candidates (min 3 ppl) to support future growth of program. As needed recruit, onboard, develop and deliver training for new hires
    • Develop and maintain effective commission and compensation systems for sales team to support company objectives and sales forecast
    • Is the “voice of the customer” for Travers Tool and brings customer barriers to management team.
    • Proactively develops workshops/teams to address customer barriers and internal Travers processes that hinder our growth as a company
    • Is a CRM “Champion” and admin driving the sales team to effectively use the tool while making/suggesting improvements.
    • Conduct monthly one on one’s addressing sales rep performance, areas of improvement and new opportunities
    • Monitor and communicate with branch locations unassigned “top target” customers and prospects with the purpose of retaining and increasing customer spend
    • Quarterly account reviews to remove “low performing” accounts and backfill with qualified SQL’s
    • Work with Marketing on the Hubspot platform. This includes but not limited to customer email communication, MQL workflow and distribution of MQL’s, retention/reactivation programs/workflows, educational emails to the region to support company initiatives
    • Proactively works with Travers credit team weekly to monitor and address outstanding receivable issues
    • Partner with Travers CX, Product Management and Marketing teams to ensure organizational commitment to customer requirements
    • Work closely with supplier partners to schedule team product training and ensure delivery of value-added technical support to end user customers while developing strong relationship with the Travers sales team
    • Development of material to support sales process (ie. agreements, letters, leave-behinds, sales training tools)
    • Identify and develop customer facing “Programs” that (profitably) support our Brand Promise and Value Proposition
    • Working with the field sales team, resolves customer complaints, issues in a timely manner

    Specific Measures of Success – Expected Outcomes

    • Deliver forecasted revenue for the SCB Field Sales Team of 3.3M annual ($13,031 per day). This includes 4 field sales positions and a Metalworking Specialist Position ($925 per day).
    • Meet or exceed company goal of 40% GP% for assigned accounts.
    • Build and maintain a 3 year sales strategy to support sales forecast
    • Build an active monthly “new” opportunity pipeline at the rate of 2x the annual new opportunity goal
    • Conduct and document monthly coaching/1 on 1’s with each team member.
