POSITION SUMMARY
The CSC Program Manager is responsible for the administration, oversight, leadership, and supervision of the Cancer Support Community program operations. The incumbent will have oversight of providing cancer support services for community members affected by cancer. By coordinating with clinical facilitators and adjunct instructors, the incumbent will provide services in accordance with CSC and TCRHCC standards and policies and procedures. The incumbent will manage the program budget, maintain program statistics and reports, and work closely with the Oncology Services team to provide programmatic consultation as it relates to general operations, outreach, and marketing, grant writing and reporting and, on an as needed basis, fundraising activities. The CSC Program Manager must embody the highest professional standards and demonstrate warmth and compassion while working with members, staff, volunteers, and others in building and maintaining a sense of community.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master of Social Work (MSW)
License/Certification:
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Experience:
Six-months post-graduate social work or case management experience or experience in facilitating support groups

Contacts often require tact and sensitivity as those related to stressful situations such as death, dying and catastrophic illnesses. Must be able to prioritize, use good judgment, and coordinate a variety of issues while being frequently interrupted. The incumbent performs difficult and complex assignments that encompass a variety of activities and requirements. The work requires the ability to deal relatively independently with the interrelated elements that affect patient services and assessed needs to resolve or prevent any delays in service and any other controversial matters that may arise.
