Regional Support Manager manages an operational support function in a specific geographic area providing guidance to branches on matters of compliance, service, and quality. Conducts routine and preventative quality assurance processes to monitor customer satisfaction and revenue results and ensure policy compliance for branches in designated region. Being a Regional Support Manager provides operational support and resources to investigate and resolve any problems or losses incurred in the day to day operations of branches. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Regional Support Manager typically reports to top management. The Regional Support Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     Summary

    The primary responsibility for this position is to provide technical support for branch employees within a business region and to be the primary day-to-day IT interface with region and branch management. Additional responsibilities will include managing corporate initiatives and projects, defining branch metrics and provide monthly region and branch operational scorecards. This position will also manage, train, mentor, and support the branch technical staff.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Provide level-two support/management for branch technology personnel.
    • Identify trends and solutions to eliminate issues experienced by branch personnel. Minimize client exposure to infrastructure incidents.
    • Ensure branch IT personnel adhere to corporate standards and branch defined metrics. Manage, schedule and report branch system capacity, system analysis, and
    • Provide regular, timely, and accurate feedback, communication, and information to Regional Director and Branch GMs.
    • Ensure all IDF/MDF branch closets are secure, orderly and maintained to standards and comply with corporate policy.
    • Ensure all branch backups are executed and tapes are stored in compliance with corporate policy.
    • Manage branch technology utilization and capacity usage.
    • Provide a technology plan, documentation, and forward-thinking assessment for branches within the region and enterprise.
    • Maintain working documentation and visual schematics of branch infrastructure.
    • Align branches with corporate technologies and methodologies.
    • Provide estimates of cost, resource, and time to resolve issues.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education & Experience

    • College degree from an accredited institution and five to seven (5-7) years industry experience or a combination of education and experience.
    • 4 Year Technology Degree preferred.
    • Minimum 5 – 7 years of desk-side support
    • Minimum 3 – 5 years of project management.
    • Prefer 3 – 5 years of Wintel client and server support
    • Demonstrated progressive experience in managing a technical support team.
    • Familiarity with ITIL concepts, specifically in the area of service delivery preferred.
    • Need to be proficient in workstation software and hardware products.
    • Need to understand internal components of end user technology.
    • Need to understand the overall technology topology (i.e. network, server, storage, etc.)

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    ITIL Service Management preferred.
    Industry certifications preferred (MCSE, A , Network , etc).

    Travel Requirements

    Travel 50% to 75%
