Regional Support Manager manages an operational support function in a specific geographic area providing guidance to branches on matters of compliance, service, and quality. Conducts routine and preventative quality assurance processes to monitor customer satisfaction and revenue results and ensure policy compliance for branches in designated region. Being a Regional Support Manager provides operational support and resources to investigate and resolve any problems or losses incurred in the day to day operations of branches. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Regional Support Manager typically reports to top management. The Regional Support Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Regional Support Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    Under the supervision of the Manager, Application Support, within the IT Department, this position is responsible for the provision of all SANDIS software support related activities to customers statewide. Responsible for the coordination, development and design of software support and training materials related to programs which integrate SANDIS technology with the Department of Developmental Services, Uniform Fiscal System. Responsible for the direction and coordination of all implementation, support, and training activities for all SANDIS customers. Responsible for the supervision and in-service training of all corporate Application Analyst staff.


    QUALIFICATIONS:


    EDUCATION

    Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Development Management, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. At least two (2) or more years of supervisory experience or the completion of a certified management related educational program.


    EXPERIENCE

    At least two (2) or more years of experience responsible for project management, software development and implementation of complex software applications; effective working knowledge of project estimation techniques; and experience using RPG and/or command line and graphical user interfaces.


    OTHER

    Ability to lead, motivate and supervise staff. Ability to define problems and provide solutions. Empathetic to the needs of end-users. Substantial knowledge of the IBM Midrange Computer series. Overnight travel may be required.


    STARTING SALARY

    $7,721 to $8,493 monthly
