Registrar oversees university/college's system of student records. Responsible for class registration, assigning classroom space, and updating student records. Being a Registrar ensures that all requirements have been met prior to graduation and that diplomas are factually correct. Determines students who have achieved certain scholastic goals, such as the Dean's List. Additionally, Registrar requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Registrar contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. 1. Meets all standards of the Patient Satisfaction Initiative Criteria in order to make

2. Collects and/or updates all information, via registration system, in order to
accurately complete clinic registrations.
3. Answers phone calls, makes appointments appropriately, and refers calls of a
medical nature to the RN/NP. Takes and delivers phone messages accurately and
efficiently.
4. Assists Nurse Practitioners and RNs with rooming patients, performing age
appropriate measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, vision and hearing
screening) using appropriate skills to provide quality patient care.
5. Helps maintain a safe, neat and clean patient care environment to facilitate safe
and effective patient care including but not limited to: cleaning exam rooms,
keeping reception area neat, etc.
6. Orders clinical/office supplies (or reports need to order) to maintain inventory to
facilitate smooth operation of the office.
7. Complies with all Jefferson Health Abington policies.
8. Performs other duties as required.
A. Experience: Previous medical office experience preferred; computer skills preferred.
B. Education and Training: High School Graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of Medical Office Assistants program preferred.
C. License Certification and Registration: Current BLS from the American Heart Association required.
D. Other Requirements: Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with people. Familiarity with medical office procedures.
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
