    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILIES: The Assistant Registrar is responsible for degree clearance of all students at Russell Sage College, working with the Advising and academic departments to ensure that students are on track for completion, and accurate and timely maintenance to students' programs. The position assumes primary responsibility of assignment of academic spaces.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Maintaining the official academic records of students within Russell Sage College inclusive of ensuring compliance with all issues of student privacy as mandated by FERPA.
    • Maintains a thorough understanding of all college policies and procedures.
    • Developing and maintaining online and face-to-face services that positively impact student persistence.
    • Clear all students of Russell Sage College for graduation.
    • Creates graduation audits and collaborates with students and faculty for missing requirements.
    • Works with Student Life on the commencement ceremony.
    • Coordinates contract registrations (e.g. VESI, NYSUT, high school, cross-registration, and study abroad).
    • Assignment of academic spaces and utilization on each campus.
    • Serve as required/requested on committees and/or planning groups.
    • Other duties as needed.

    The estimated wage range is $24.50 to $24.60 per hour for 37.5 hours per week for 52 weeks.


    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Higher Education Registrar and/or Admission experience preferred
    • Excellent writing and communication skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work on deadline and under pressure required
    • Ellucian/Colleague experience preferred
    • Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft office products required.
