Regulatory Affairs Director oversees regulatory matters and executes the strategy to ensure the organization complies with applicable regulations. Develops processes and systems to ensure that all necessary licensing, filings, certifications, and permits are processed and monitored. Being a Regulatory Affairs Director establishes monitoring policies and procedures to ensure compliance with existing regulations. Anticipates new or changing regulations and coordinates with internal stakeholders to develop strategies to address changes in product, operations, or testing requirements. Additionally, Regulatory Affairs Director investigates and addresses any reported issues of non-compliance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Regulatory Affairs Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Regulatory Affairs Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     We have an exciting opportunity open for a Regulatory Coordinator based in Little Rock, Fort Smith or Fayetteville, AR.


    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with file organization and file maintenance of all regulatory files.
    • Assist with template creations, process creations in tandem with regulatory supervisors, directors, and VP of Regulatory Affairs.
    • Assist with tracking deadlines and managing department calendar of deadline and events.
    • Ability to read and interpret rules, regulations and statutes in various jurisdictions.
    • Ability to become familiar with the format of Company’s filings rules of practice and procedure and assist in meeting procedural schedules and internal deadlines.
    • Assists with coordination, preparation, and filing of any documents or materials in regulatory or litigation proceedings; as directed by regulatory staff.
    • Assists in coordination of the preparation and filing of application packages and administration of the discovery process in cases.
    • Assists in the tracking of rule changes and regulatory commitments in all jurisdictions and tracks compliance with applicable rules and regulatory commitments in all jurisdictions.
    • Assists in preparation, compilation, and distribution of weekly synopses of regulatory filings and industry developments relating to Company, competitors, peers, and the public utility and energy industry in general.
    • Ability to learn new systems such as proprietary software used to manage discovery.
    • Serve as back-up support to Regulatory Specialist as needed to cover PTO.

     Required Skills:

    • Regulatory experience, legal case experience, or other executive-level administrative experience.
    • Proficient experience in Adobe and MS Office products, specifically Teams, MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Advanced-level document management and production skills (large volume project management/ regulatory filings)
    • Great attention to detail, self-starter, organized.
    • Willingness to learn and design/create processes for efficiency.
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive and team-oriented attitude.
    • Highly effective communication and effective interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities.
    • Professional writing and organizational skills.
