Regulatory Affairs Manager manages regulatory matters and executes the strategy to ensure the organization complies with applicable regulations. Implements processes and systems to ensure that all necessary licensing, filings, certifications, and permits are processed and monitored. Being a Regulatory Affairs Manager utilizes established monitoring policies and procedures to ensure compliance with existing regulations. Anticipates new or changing regulations and coordinates with internal stakeholders to develop strategies to address changes in product, operations, or testing requirements. Additionally, Regulatory Affairs Manager investigates and addresses any reported issues of non-compliance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Regulatory Affairs Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Regulatory Affairs Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The individual should have basic experience and regulatory knowledge in all or some of the service areas listed below:
    * Air permitting
    * Storm water/SWPPP
    * RCRA/Hazardous waste
    * Compliance auditing
    * Oil Storage/SPCC plans
    * SARA Title III (Tier II/TRI) reporting
    * Industrial wastewater
    * Sustainability

    Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
    * Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables
    * Manage projects within budgets and ensure quality and timeliness
    * Develop an understanding of the local and regional market
    * Develop strong working relationships with clients
    * Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client requests
    * Participate in the development of local and regional marketing strategies
    * Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines
    * Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations

    Requirements:
    * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an environmental-related discipline.
    * 3-5 years of experience in a full-time regulatory compliance consulting role.
    * Demonstrated solid technical writing ability.
    * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
    * Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history

    Preferred Requirements:
    * Engineer with P.E. or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
    * 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-Hr refresher
    * Master's degree
