Join our team as the full-time Dietitian 1 at the Washington Veterans Home in scenic Port Orchard, Washington, and harness your nutritional care experience to serve our resident Veterans! Your role is critical to ensuring our residents' dietary needs are satisfied to contribute to a positive quality of life at our facility.
Please Note: The typical schedule for this position is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a possible variation of work hours from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Infrequent travel is required for training events, conferences, and other events as necessary for meeting program training needs.
- This position has been posted within the assigned pay range through Step L. Step M has not been published as this is considered the longevity step, in alignment with state HR compensation rules.
Position(s) at this location will also receive 5% Premium Pay for facilities open twenty four hours per day. Employees must physically work at the facility 3 days per workweek to qualify. The 5% Premium Pay is in effect until June 29th, 2025.

These locations provide Medicare and Medicaid nursing home care to honorably discharged Veterans, including, in some instances, their spouses, widows, or Gold Star families.
As the
Dietitian 1, you will perform professional-level dietetic work and assessments using the Nutrition Care process to ensure the nutrition care of our residents. You will also work closely with our multidisciplinary care team to develop care plans for each resident and assist in implementing clinical policies and procedures.

Requires medical evaluation, fit testing, training and use of respiratory protection as required by the WA Industrial Safety & Act standards.

Must be able to wear a respirator, medical gloves, gowns, eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by a job and/or a task.
