Regulatory Affairs Specialist supports the oversight of regulatory matters and strategy implementation to ensure the organization complies with applicable regulations. Prepares filings and tracks applications for licensing, certification, and permits and interacts with governmental officials during the regulation and certification process. Being a Regulatory Affairs Specialist monitors compliance with existing regulations and upcoming or changing regulations. Performs impact analysis of regulatory changes and produces status reports. Additionally, Regulatory Affairs Specialist participates in processes to report, investigate, and addresses any issues of non-compliance. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Regulatory Affairs Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     ABOUT THE POSITION

     

    Penn Vet is seeking a Regulatory Associate to help us continue to expand and grow. The Regulatory Associate will ensure that the company complies with industry specifications, standards, regulations, and laws. They will review operational practices, create and enforce compliance plans, and perform regulatory risk management. 

     
    One (1) full-time position is available in our corporate location, Lancaster, PA: Candidates must be able to work Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

     

    RESPONSIBLITIES

    • Develops procedures and ensures compliance with corporate policies and regulatory interests. 
    • Completes weekly temperature sensor reports as required.
    • Monitors critical environmental systems for sensor alerts and makes appropriate notifications.
    • Responds to internal and external regulatory requests including DEA, doctor, and state licensing inspections and reports.
    • Organizes and facilitates internal and external audits.
    • Completes manufacturer form requests, adverse action reports, and product authentications as required.
    • Completes SOP edits as needed and coordinates associate reviews annually.
    • Maintains current knowledge of local, state, and federal pharmaceutical laws. 
    • Participates in Safety Committee & OSHA Staff Trainings & Tasks.
    • Completes other related duties as assigned, customary to department and role.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree in Business or Biology with relevant regulatory/ pharmaceutical experience preferred. 
    • Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office. 
    • Proficient in understanding SOP protocol. 
    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, well organized 
    • Able to organize one’s own activities and manage multiple priorities. Must meet deadlines. 
    • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and overall communication skills.
