Being a Regulatory Affairs Specialist monitors compliance with existing regulations and upcoming or changing regulations. Performs impact analysis of regulatory changes and produces status reports. Additionally, Regulatory Affairs Specialist participates in processes to report, investigate, and addresses any issues of non-compliance. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Prepare patients for X-ray procedures and assist with positioning and equipment setup
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment
Skills:
- Proficient in performing X-rays and operating X-ray equipment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers
- Excellent attention to detail to accurately record patient information and perform tasks
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation requirements
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
