Regulatory Affairs Specialist supports the oversight of regulatory matters and strategy implementation to ensure the organization complies with applicable regulations. Prepares filings and tracks applications for licensing, certification, and permits and interacts with governmental officials during the regulation and certification process. Being a Regulatory Affairs Specialist monitors compliance with existing regulations and upcoming or changing regulations. Performs impact analysis of regulatory changes and produces status reports. Additionally, Regulatory Affairs Specialist participates in processes to report, investigate, and addresses any issues of non-compliance. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Regulatory Affairs Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     As the Project Manager, you would be responsible to tracking all our deliverables to our clients and taking a leadership role in account management that includes client facing relationship-building.

    Working with a small project management team under the direction of the Vice President, you would lead grassroots efforts, join and contribute to client calls and meetings, track timelines, manage vendors and participate in creative material development and strategy. Conceptually, you add to strategy and messaging, and translate that into persuasive communications materials and flawless grassroots execution. At the same time, you will work hand-in-hand with senior staff that have spent decades as messaging experts and communications strategists, giving you an opportunity to learn from the best in the industry.

    Minimum Education and Experience You Need

    Education: Bachelors degree is required

    Experience: 5-7 years of experience in public affairs (an emphasis in grassroots preferred), campaigns management, public relations, project management, crisis management, digital marketing or market research.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this Role

    Manage Projects: You draft and implement plans and timelines to execute the project strategy. You contribute to the “macro” strategy while focusing on “micro” strategy adjustments.

    Client Service: Demonstrate the ability to discuss business models and counsel clients.  You continually build client confidence through day-to-day and week-to-week updates passed on through Davies senior staff.

    Creative Development: You contribute substantively to copy, creative outlines, messaging and communications strategy in collaboration with senior staff.

    Writing: You excel in writing business correspondence and proposals.  You write, edit, and direct persuasive and effective copy for tactical plans, client correspondence, and outreach materials.

    Research: You create and manage research budget components and effectively manage internal and external resources for implementation.  You actively participate and contribute in distilling research results. 

    Account Administration: You create timelines that guide the project implementation and manage to them.  You manage your team resources and assign tasks to flawlessly execute the client strategy and deliver results.

    Leadership/Teamwork: You are a team leader.  You effectively oversee project management work to produce high-quality work and ensure quality management of the team’s operations.  In addition, you demonstrate skill in managing up to more senior team members.  You mentor your team members and take an active role in guiding their professional development.
