Regulatory Relations Liaison is responsible for filing necessary applications and handling all government interactions pertaining to the regulation and certification process for a plant or other facility. Develops procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Being a Regulatory Relations Liaison prepares reports for top management detailing projects that may impact the organization's regulation status. May represent the organization before federal or state legislations. Additionally, Regulatory Relations Liaison requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Regulatory Relations Liaison typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Regulatory Relations Liaison typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Regulatory Manager, your future position?


    In this role, you will guide and develop your team to meet the business objectives of the department by implementing and managing compliance activities. You will help establish and execute strategic processes that ensure efficiency, simplicity, and agility to support a superior customer experience.


    Main Responsibilities:


    • Manage and direct local regulatory staff to provide external and internal customers and regional regulatory bodies with consistent and compliant
    • legislative expertise.
    • Interpret and apply regulations to business practices and provide regulatory input, advice, and guidance to the organization.
    • Stay current with emerging regulatory guidance, industry expectations and standards, and demonstrate the ability to translate these into process
    • improvements and best practices.
    • Actively look for ways to improve current process within the department and across the business to gain efficiency with simplistic outlook.
    • Manage department resources by providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities through on the job experience, mentorship, and training.
    • Inspire and motivate the team to achieve departmental and business objectives.
    • Evaluate team performance and provide specific, relative, and timely feedback to individuals to ensure consistency in regulatory practices.
    • Contribute to the strategic development for the department to meet business goals and objectives.
    • Develop strategies for your team to enhance ways of working to become more efficient and agile.
    • Recruit, onboard, and train staff.

    Your professional profile includes:

    • A minimum of a BS degree in food science, chemistry or related field required.
    • 5 years of industry experience in regulatory or similar function required to address compliance with food and beverage safety and regulations.
    • Experience with consumer packaged goods and/or dietary supplements a plus.
    • Demonstrated skills developing direct reports in a self-directed environment.
    • Extensive knowledge of federal and international food and beverage regulations and their applications.
    • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team.
    • Process orientated, detailed, logical, analytical, meticulous and highly organized, able to analyze data and implement solutions.
    • Adaptable and willing to take on multiple new tasks and responsibilities while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks within a dynamic work environment.
