Regulatory Relations Liaison is responsible for filing necessary applications and handling all government interactions pertaining to the regulation and certification process for a plant or other facility. Develops procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Being a Regulatory Relations Liaison prepares reports for top management detailing projects that may impact the organization's regulation status. May represent the organization before federal or state legislations. Additionally, Regulatory Relations Liaison requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Regulatory Relations Liaison typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Regulatory Relations Liaison typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. The Medial Liaison coordinates all aspects of participant’s medical care, transports and accompanies clients to medical appointments, passes medications and writes monthly health summaries. The schedule is Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate and transport clients to medical appointments, emergency room and therapies
• Obtain client specimens and take to laboratories
• Coordinate direct care staff to run appointments when multiple appointments occur at conflicting times
• Schedule all medical routine appointments, follow-up appointments and as-needed appointments
• Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation gets completed, processed and relayed to the appropriate staff: i.e., QIDP, nurse and staff
• Be the liaison for Nursing needs and Supported Living’s needs for communication regarding client’s medical care
• Aid with receiving medications from our pharmacy and checking them into our system for accuracy
• Assist in desensitization of clients attending medical appointments
• Pass medications on an emergency or as needed basis
• Other duties as requested by the Director of Nursing
Qualifications
• Must have high school diploma/GED
• Experience with Developmentally Disabled individuals preferred
