Regulatory Relations Liaison is responsible for filing necessary applications and handling all government interactions pertaining to the regulation and certification process for a plant or other facility. Develops procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Being a Regulatory Relations Liaison prepares reports for top management detailing projects that may impact the organization's regulation status. May represent the organization before federal or state legislations. Additionally, Regulatory Relations Liaison requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Regulatory Relations Liaison typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Regulatory Relations Liaison typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     JOB SUMMARY
    This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for the organization. Key areas include: CMS Conditions of Participation, Joint Commission Accreditation, Meaningful Use, Patient Safety Committee, etc.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Coordinate organizational preparedness for accreditation surveys
    • Ensure organizational preparedness for CMS and/or state surveys
    • Performs clinical/quality chart review for after actions and/or peer review
    • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
    • Perform other essential duties as assigned
    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
    • BSN, or enrolled in BSN program within 6 months of hire to position, and program completed within 24 months after enrollment
    • Must be a current Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Missouri
    • Have immediate experience of working in nursing for 5 years
    • Current BLS required
    • Current ACLS required
    • Basic understanding of the regulatory/accreditation process
    • Must be self-motived and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic
