  • Job Title: Community Liaison

    Job Objective: The Community Liaison will play a critical role in coordinating outreach efforts to form stronger community partnerships to increase client base for Comprehensive Crisis Services. The Community Liaison must possess a unique creativity to work within the current climate of mental health and marketing. The Community Liaison interacts with community members, physicians, case managers, clinicians, hospitals, and community partners as we seek to provide continued delivery of quality care throughout the service area. The Community Liaison must be confident in their ability to be a self-starter, as well as work with interdisciplinary teams of various mental health settings. The Community Liaison will be on the front line to connect Phoenix and Peace to inpatient facilities that provide a higher level of care. The Community Liaison will create awareness in the community of the service descriptions, criteria, and eligibility for Comprehensive Crisis Services and how individuals and providers can refer clients who are in need of further community stabilization by one of the services provided by Phoenix and Peace.

    Immediate Supervisor: Program Manager

    Primary Responsibilities:

    ● Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources ie. hospitals, doctor offices, schools, etc.

    ● Assist in strategic planning to identify opportunities for improved service provision.

    ● Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of Phoenix and Peace Mental Health Services.

    ● Provide education on the intake process for admission to services (clients seeking mental health services).

    ● Exhibit creativity in developing marketing methods and materials to deliver the service message to comparable care coordination sources.

    ● Coordinate and conduct community outreach events and attending various events held within the community.

    ● Coordinate and facilitate events on community mental health and the importance of community stabilization and wrap around services; Plan innovative community education and engagement activities.

    ● Keep ongoing communication with hospitals, jails, physicians, case manager, clinicians, and other community providers.

    ● Identify possible marketing opportunities and be aware of the industry needs, competition, and new opportunities.

    ● Work closely with Program Manager and Intake Coordinator/Office Administrators regarding potential clients.

    ● Coordinate with Program Manager and upper management team members routinely.

    ● Consistently demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and communication skills with internal team members and community partners, representing the agency in a professional and ethical manner.

    ● Submit weekly reports to upper management potential partnerships and clients in need of service.

    ● Represent agency at community functions as needed.

    ● Maintain knowledge of regulatory policies regarding marketing.

    ● Participate in all applicable agency meetings and trainings.

    ● Other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

    ● Be able to provide schedule of availability to work in the community during the day, and evenings, and weekends as needed.

    ● Own an operable, reliable, registered, and insured vehicle to be used for service delivery when deemed necessary. Assist getting clients to appointments when necessary.

    ● Provide and maintain a driver’s license and an acceptable driving record and keep vehicles registered and insured during the entire length of employment.

    ● Possess, keep, use, and own a personal cell phone providing the cell phone number to facilitate communication with community partners and Phoenix-N-Peace administration.

    ● Possess, keep, and check two times daily a valid Phoenix and Peace email address.

    ● Have access to and ability to use a computer, printer, internet services, and other necessary items and equipment to produce electronic program documentation/paperwork.

    Knowledge skills and abilities:

    ● Demonstration of good communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.

    ● Knowledge of community resources and familiarity with geographical areas.

    ● Proficiency with computer skills and demonstrates organizational and time management skills.

    ● Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.

    ● Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

    ● Knowledge of the areas of need for adults with serious mental illness and youth who are at risk for out of home placement.

    ● Ability to identify clinical risk factors for suicide, violence and other risky behaviors.

    ● Extensive experience in community mental health and knowledge of service description, criteria, and eligibility of services offered.

    ● Ability to market aggressively while simultaneously maintaining positive industry relationships.

    ● Ability to work independently and team-oriented with proven leadership skills

    ● Ability to build and maintain relationships with referral sources

    ● Must have a strong knowledge of the Tri-Cities Community and surrounding cities and counties.

    Qualifications

    ● High School Diploma or GED

    ● Minimum of 3 years of experience working in human services, mental health, or residential field.

    ● Marketing and/or sales experience and knowledge of DMAS marketing requirements.

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $200.00 - $300.00 per day

    Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
