Regulatory Relations Liaison is responsible for filing necessary applications and handling all government interactions pertaining to the regulation and certification process for a plant or other facility. Develops procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Being a Regulatory Relations Liaison prepares reports for top management detailing projects that may impact the organization's regulation status. May represent the organization before federal or state legislations. Additionally, Regulatory Relations Liaison requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Regulatory Relations Liaison typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Regulatory Relations Liaison typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Health Sciences Apprenticeship Liaison

  • Reporting to the Dean of Health Sciences, the Healthcare Apprenticeship Liaison position will promote Registered Apprenticeship educational and work force development strategies managing the creation, growth, and sustainability of healthcare apprenticeships in partnership with the Experiential Learning Office. The Liaison will promote the value of apprenticeships to students, faculty, staff, and employers.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare concentration, career services/counseling or related area. Note: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by the United States Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
    • At least two years of related experience in coordinating.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Three years’ related experience.
    • Basic understanding of NC Community College System and NC Registered Apprenticeship programs.
    • Experience in a community college or academic setting.
    • Ability to listen and quickly assess the key factors for successfully moving forward when working with students, faculty, business partners, and other colleagues in a variety of settings.
    • String interpersonal and leadership skills- able to develop, train and motivate others.
    • Good Communication skills and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work with diverse populations and find common ground when none is obvious and to motivate people whom you have no authority.
    • Strong attention to detail and willingness to collect, input and manipulate data necessary for program and outcome analysis without administrative support.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    Essential Duties
    • Work in partnership with the Experiential Learning Office and employers to create new apprenticeship pathways in healthcare.
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify, plan, evaluate, and coordinate regular cohorts of apprentices.
    • Work with program coordinators and developing course schedules that complement apprentice schedules.
    • Serves as primary connector of students and employers for all healthcare apprenticeship experiences.
    • Coordinate with Experiential Learning Office to ensure all apprenticeship documentation is submitted to the Apprenticeship NC including new occupations, apprentice registrations, apprentice completions, etc.
    • Represent college and program professionally in the community.
    • Serve as connection point for all health sciences and nursing Forsyth Tech employees involved in apprenticeships.
    • Provide overview of apprenticeship program to students, college faculty and staff, and employers as needed.
    • Actively recruit high school graduates, community members, current employes of employer partners, and students to participate in healthcare registered apprenticeship programs.
    • Partner with Experiential Learning Office to utilize systems for monitoring student progress towards completion of on-the-job training skills through apprenticeship work experience.
    • Increase student and employer engagement in apprenticeship programs, events, and services.
    • Assist in the promotion of apprenticeships with completion in/or implementation of reports, schedules, presentations, events, meetings, and other projects as assigned.
    • Complete award nominations for state and national award opportunities.
    • Assist with program assessments and evaluations.
    • Contribute to annual tactical planning to achieve and track specific apprenticeship outcomes.
    • Provide requested data for Apprenticeship NC annual quality assessments.
    • Maintain accountabilities for all aspects of healthcare apprenticeship operations.
    • Coach students on job seeking and employment skills related to apprenticeships; provide resume, interviewing, networking, workplace behavior, and general career development though collaboration with the career service team.
    • Provide support and guidance for students and employer mentors throughout the healthcare apprenticeship experience, modeling professional behavior.
    • Utilize strong data tracking and communication skills to ensure and document that each apprenticeship experience meets Forsyth Tech and State Standards.
    • Participate in state, regional, and national industry-related associations and organizations.
    • Attend specialized training activities that enhance job performance and foster diversity, equity and inclusion.
    • Foster diversity, equity and inclusion with colleagues and students.
    • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
