Other areas of responsibility include maintaining accurate employee relations statistics, educating managers on employment law and hospital policies and keeping management informed of potential problems in the organization. /> />The Employee Relations Specialist must possess good interpersonal, communication and listening skills. This individual must have a good understanding of Employment Law, hospital policies and procedures. He/she will show respect to all individuals in counseling sessions regardless of the issue at hand. The Employee Relations Specialist should possess exemplary telephone etiquette and be able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must have excellent counseling, negotiating and organizational skills. Must be able to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines. Organizes tasks well, sets priorities appropriately to best meet the departmental/ organizational goals. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor when confronted with adversity. Assures professional & efficient office atmosphere. Possesses a strong teamwork attitude.
