The Regulatory Paralegal will work in a flexible and shared environment, assisting the department with North American Regulatory and Compliance matters. T The position will be based in our Warren, NJ office, working a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. Key Responsibilities: Working with the team on regulatory and licensing matters relating primarily to insurance and reinsurance filings with North American regulatory agencies. Research and analysis on various insurance laws and regulations as well as privacy, data protection and cybersecurity related laws and regulations. Maintain key corporate documents and records related to the company’s regulated statutory writing entities. Maintain and track regulatory calendar, procedures, and filings. Support internal clients with “Know Your Customer” requests. Preparation of supporting documentation, including necessary certificates and affidavits required with certain regulatory filings. Handle various ad hoc requests from Attorneys & internal clients as assigned. Communicate in a timely and professional manner with management on action items. Translate corporate documents from English to Spanish and vice versa (preferred, not required). Qualifications: BS/BA degree and a Paralegal Certification (preferred, but not required). Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a corporate in-house legal department or law firm supporting corporate clients. Experience conducting extensive legal research. Familiarity with U.S. insurance regulatory regime strongly preferred. Familiarity with UCC filings. A New Jersey notary public (preferred, but not required). Experience working for or supporting a publicly traded company. Familiarity with Diligent Entities or another global entity management platform. Bilingual in Spanish with the ability to translate documents (English/Spanish) is preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies: Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong presentation and technical skills. Flexible and eager to undertake new areas of responsibility. Ability to follow established procedures for Domestic and International regulatory compliance requirements. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Capable of handling multiple projects with varying deadlines. Strong written and oral communication skills.
