JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provides technical support for regulatory compliance. Reviews and audits labels and product information documents for technical accuracy and compliance. Performs on-going corrective action monitoring. Supports the development and maintenance of nutritional and regulatory technical information for ingredients and products. Provides technical support for responses to customer complaints and inquiries. Provides technical support for development of product and facility specific documentation, such as COAs and product certifications.
Provides Technical Support for Regulatory Compliance. Provides technical and administrative support to ensure regulatory compliance with HACCP, SQF Quality Code, FSMA and all applicable FDA regulations. Provides technical support for Organic, non-GMO, Gluten Free, and Kosher programs.
Performs Internal Audits. Assists with internal audits, vertical audits, warehouse audits, and inventory audits. Performs document and record audits on a weekly basis. Performs verification for preventive controls on request and as scheduled.
Reviews and Audits Labels and Product Information Documents. Reviews documents and labels for technical accuracy and compliance. Performs label review prior to label release. Creates, reviews, and updates label verification sheets. Manages label information and files to ensure users have access to up-to-date information. Reviews and approves printed packaging. Creates and maintains inner pack and master case labels and templates, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory specifications. Maintains the approved label register.
Performs On-going Corrective Action Monitoring. Monitors corrective actions, assists in related data entry and tracking of continuous improvement activities to support corrective actions.
Provides Technical Support for Customer Service. Provides technical support for responses to customer complaints and inquiries. Responds to interdepartmental inquiries and requests for technical product information. Provides technical support in the development of specification sheets, COAs and other product and facility specific documentation. Assists with investigations or customer quality and food safety issues.
Teamwork and Collaboration. Acts as a key member of the Quality Assurance Team. Actively engages in plant meetings and provides timely feedback to team. May provide and/or receive input from across functional boundaries. Understands organizational mesh points and potential synergies. Integrates team efforts across business segments and channels. Understands available resources, both in the department and outside of the department and utilizes those resources when appropriate. Assists in backing up QA technicians, as required.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years of progressive work experience in Quality Assurance, Regulatory, and/or Food Safety in a food manufacturing/testing environment
Good analytical ability, including critical thinking in order to make sound recommendations.
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to manage employee communications.
Ability to manage customer communications.
Must be organized and detail oriented and be able to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities.
Must be performance and quality driven.
Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and capabilities as a part of the plant management team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or relevant software packages.
