PROVIDER RELATIONS SPECIALIST

  • We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Provider Relations Specialist.

    The Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities (WCBDD) coordinates services for over 1,000 people with developmental disabilities in Wood County.  Our mission is to support, empower, and inspire.  The ideal candidate will be a highly self-motivated problem solver, flexible, detail oriented, and is a team player with time management skills, organizational skills, and leadership skills.

     

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Facilitates and conducts provider compliance reviews as assigned by DODD for certified providers who are providing services to persons with developmental disabilities. This will consist of interviews, site visits and documentation of reviews in the ODODD Review Data System (RDS). Monitors for compliance with standards and the Ohio Administrative Code. Prepares outcome-based reports reflecting individual and systematic recommendations. Performs necessary follow up related to Provider Compliance Reviews and Plans of Correction.  Maintains records of reviews. Ensures the communication of findings of reviews to the appropriate parties.  Consults with providers to improve the quality of services, provides training and education.   
    • Attends, presents, facilitates, and contributes to the content of the monthly County Board/Provider collaborative meetings. Develops/distributes written materials and conducts activities to recruit potential Home and Community Based (HVBS) providers. Assists providers through the initial and renewal certification process including linking with ODODD and scanning documents when needed. Complete new agency and independent provider orientation trainings including review of understanding the ISP and planning process, documentation, incident reporting requirements, billing, training requirements, recertification and compliance reviews, service request process, and County Board contacts. 
    • Conducts mock compliance reviews with HCBS providers. Develop and provide training to providers and staff related to compliance/Medicaid/waivers other service provision related processes. Facilitates collaborative training development with Providers and SSA to increase the quality of service and supports in Wood County. Provides technical assistance to providers in developing new services and/or expanding current services. Maintains an up-to-date Provider email list and other contact lists. Adds new providers contact information into Brittco system.  Collaborates with the Communications and Community Engagement Manager to maintain current information on the Wood County Board Provider website page and assist with social media posts and other Provider marketing strategies. Assist in the development of Provider fairs and Provider recruitment/retention events/projects. Provides information on waiver policy, regulations, health and safety alerts and other information pertinent to Certified HCBS Providers.  Participates in workgroups focusing on service enhancement.
    • Collaborates with other County Provider Relations staff and SSA on procedures of best practice and other initiatives related to Provision of service for HCBS.
