Rehabilitation Director directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department. Sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other therapies. Being a Rehabilitation Director develops and implements policies and procedures pertaining to staffing and the budget for the department. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director monitors treatment and progress of patients. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Rehabilitation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Rehabilitation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Qualifications/ Responsibilities:
- Must possess hold a valid and current license as a therapist or therapist assistant granted from the state of employment.
- Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family
- Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of social care plans and resident assessments
- Interview resident/families to obtain social history
- Refer resident/families to appropriate social service agencies when the facility does not provide the services or needs of the resident
- Provide information to resident/families as to Medicare/Medicaid, and other financial assistance programs available to the resident
- Provide consultation to members of our staff, community agencies, etc., in efforts to solve the needs and problems of the resident through the development of social service programs
- Previous experience required, experience in PDPM preferred
Shift & Wage:
- Full-Time Opportunity Available
