Rehabilitation Director directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department. Sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other therapies. Being a Rehabilitation Director develops and implements policies and procedures pertaining to staffing and the budget for the department. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director monitors treatment and progress of patients. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Rehabilitation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Plans, Develops, Organizes, and Implements an individual external sales strategy with a scheduled program of daily activities designed to achieve facility census goals while also maintaining compliance with current state and federal laws and regulations.
Identifies opportunities with new referral partners/sources and develops sales strategies to build relationships and communicate the facility's services and offerings.
Submits monthly calendar to supervisor of events, visits, face to face, or personal activities by other means, demonstrating the implementation of the census strategy/plan.
