Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department for a nursing home. Develops and implements rehabilitation programs by working with the operational leadership team and medical staff. Being a Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Responsible for the direction, planning, and operation of the rehabilitation function. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home develops and implements policies and procedures regarding staffing and budget. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require a professional certification. The Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Major Responsibilities

    • Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to facility management and team members.
    • Day-to-day clinical and administrative activities of the facility, including profit and loss responsibility and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
    • You will also provide leadership to all facility staff in meeting the goal of providing quality resident care.
    • Responsible for establishing financial and programmatic goals for the facility and conduct an annual evaluation of goal achievement.
    • Recruit, hire, and provide orientation/training for staff to carry out facility programs and services.
    • Maintain and guide the implementation of facility policies and procedures in compliance with corporate, state, federal, and other regulatory guidelines.
    • Provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as a Nursing Home Administrator.
    • Must possess proven leadership ability with at least three (3) years as an administrator in either a long-term or subacute care facility. Must possess demonstrated skills related to management, planning, budgeting, marketing and quality improvement.
    • You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
