Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department for a nursing home. Develops and implements rehabilitation programs by working with the operational leadership team and medical staff. Being a Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Responsible for the direction, planning, and operation of the rehabilitation function. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home develops and implements policies and procedures regarding staffing and budget. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require a professional certification. The Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Sequoia Transitional Care is currently looking for a Director of Rehab (DOR) - Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team.
What to expect:
The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) is responsible for the day to day activities in the rehabilitation department of an assigned facility or facilities. This includes but is not limited to: the delivery of direct and indirect services to inpatients and out-patients, supervision of all therapy personnel, interviewing and recommending new hires, and
training of all therapy personnel. The DOR is responsible for implementation of new programs to meet the needs of the facility and the residents. Is delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out all assigned duties to provide both clinical and operational oversight to the delivery of rehabilitative services.Successful candidates will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy . Prefer graduates of Masters or Doctorate Program in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy. Proficient in computer skills such as inputting data into programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care.
- Current, unencumbered, active California PT or OT License (required)
- CPR (as requested)
