Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department for a nursing home. Develops and implements rehabilitation programs by working with the operational leadership team and medical staff. Being a Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Responsible for the direction, planning, and operation of the rehabilitation function. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home develops and implements policies and procedures regarding staffing and budget. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require a professional certification. The Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Experience and Skills:We are seeking an energetic and motivated DON to plan, develop, and direct the overall operation of our Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations which govern our facility. The successful candidate must be an RN with an Ohio license and a minimum of three years long-term care supervisory experience. Applicants must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served and must possess strong organizational skills, a dynamic leadership approach and ambition to positively impact the lives of our residents and staff.
