Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home jobs in Kansas City, KS

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As an activity Director you are responsible for the development, implementation, and suplervision of the full scope of the activity departments services in the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABLILIES:

• Puts customer service First: Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals needs and rights;

• Ensures that the activity department is in compliance with company policies and procedures as well as federal/state regulations.

• Serves as a collabrative member of the management tame and supports practices that focus on improving clinical, customer, staff and business excellence.

• Completes comprehensive assessment

Plans individual and group programs in accordance with the residents needs, preferences, interests, abilities and is consistant with treatment goals and interventions.

Encourages resident involvement in activity planning

Establishes and communicates a schedule of programming in accordance with residents needs and preferences.

Ensures that all activities adhere to safety and infection control standards.

Documentation of resident response and involvement with programs

Trains and oversees documentation of all activity staff

Performs other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma; Completion of a state approved activity-training course is preferred but not required.

• Previous experience in leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, intellectual/educational activities, community outings, etc., desired.
