Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department for a nursing home. Develops and implements rehabilitation programs by working with the operational leadership team and medical staff. Being a Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Responsible for the direction, planning, and operation of the rehabilitation function. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home develops and implements policies and procedures regarding staffing and budget. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require a professional certification. The Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     ADON Responsibilities

    The Assistant Director of Nursing
    (ADON) is responsible for supporting and
    carrying out the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents
    in accordance with orders of the
    physicians and total needs of the residents. In partnership with the Director
    of Nursing, the ADON is responsible for the 24-hour
    supervision of Nursing Services and directs the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in accordance with current Federal, State and The Company standards, guidelines, and regulations.
    In absence of the Director of Nursing, the Assistant
    Director of Nursing (ADON) assumes the
    responsibility for clinical operations. The ADON conducts the nursing process – assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation – under the scope of the State’s Nurse
    Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure.

    ADON Requirements

    · Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced.

    ·Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school required.

    ·Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; at least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.

    ·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    ·Superior project management and decision-making skills.

    · Demonstrated success in operational process improvement and performance management.
