Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department for a nursing home. Develops and implements rehabilitation programs by working with the operational leadership team and medical staff. Being a Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Responsible for the direction, planning, and operation of the rehabilitation function. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home develops and implements policies and procedures regarding staffing and budget. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require a professional certification. The Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Location: Fair View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
Shifts Available:
- Full-time, PM Shift; 80 hours per pay period PM differential available
- Part-time2, Day Shift; 24 hours per pay period (every other weekend)
Weekend rotation: Shifts include every other weekend, weekend differential available
Holiday rotation: Holiday rotation
Position Summary:
Performs resident functions in accordance to nursing home standards of practice.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides for resident's personal hygiene: gives bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves, and assists with showers.
- Provides for activities of daily living: assists with meals and feeds patients; ambulates, turns, and positions patients; provides fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Performs I&O; checks vital signs and weight; assists with specimen collection; and post-mortem care.
- Provides for comfort needs of residents
- Promptly answers resident's call lights and requests.
- Other duties are requested within scope of practice

Required Education:
- Successful completion of nursing assistant course
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification to practice in the state
