The Director of Rehab (DOR) is responsible for the overall daily rehabilitation operations in a specified facility and/or geographical area. This includes but is not limited to: staffing, training, and administrative oversight of all the therapy personnel assigned to work in that particular area. Also, the DOR is responsible for the overall delivery of therapeutic services including: program development, integration and delivery, and documentation and denials management; this includes active participation in patient treatments. The DOR establishes a culture for the team that promotes the care that is in the best interest of the patient, in conjunction with the goals of the patient?s family. He/ She is responsible for assisting with internal marketing and external marketing of assigned facilities, and may assist with company business development. The DOR is the key representative in the facility and/or geographical area where assigned.
