Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department for a nursing home. Develops and implements rehabilitation programs by working with the operational leadership team and medical staff. Being a Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Responsible for the direction, planning, and operation of the rehabilitation function. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home develops and implements policies and procedures regarding staffing and budget. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require a professional certification. The Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. As the Full-time Assistant Food Service Director, you will be responsible for the following:
Take charge of cooks and dietary staff
- Ensure standard recipes are being followed and food meets the high standards set by the Administration.
- Conduct audits of the walk-ins for dates, labels and 72 hr. rotation.
- Distribute menu preparation assignments and see that prep work is being done correctly; mentor and offer to help if necessary.
- Ensure demonstration of plating to line staff before each meal is done.
- Audit tray line for accuracy.
- Candidate should be familiar with local and federal food and safety guidelines.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Every other weekend
COVID-19 considerations:
Highly encouraged to be fully vaccinated but not required.
Experience:
- Food service management: 1 year (Preferred)
- Kosher: 1 year (Preferred)
- Long Term Care: 2 years (Preferred)
- Cooking: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
ServSafe (Preferred)
