Job Title: Home Health Aide
Duties:
- Provide personal care and assistance to patients in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if necessary
- Follow care plans and document patient progress and observations
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
- Knowledge of medical records management and confidentiality protocols
- Experience with catheter care systems and tube feeding procedures
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies
- Understanding of home care principles and practices
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
