Rehabilitation Services Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of the rehabilitation therapy function. Supervises the delivery of therapy programs to patients.     Position

    Join the Origami team as a full-time Mental Health Therapy Supervisor and become an integral part of Origami's mission to create opportunities and transform lives! Under the guidance of the Clinical Manager (CM), you will provide mental health services through direct 1:1 counseling and play a pivotal role as a member of the organization's leadership team in providing mentorship and oversight of Origami's valued Mental Health Therapy team.     Responsibilities 

    • Evaluate, document, and implement treatment plans for clients. 
    • Record evaluations, daily progress notes, discharge reports, and service billings in a timely manner and in accordance with procedure to provide complete documentation for client charts. 
    • Attend clinical reviews and family conferences, as appropriate. 
    • Provide guidance and direction in the development, training, and oversight of behavioral based treatment plans. 
    • Assume responsibility for the design and implementation of group therapy activities related to mental health services. 
    • Contribute to the design and maintenance of effective and timely systems of documentation, including the collection and analysis of outcome data. 
    • In collaboration with Human Resources and CM, submit requisitions for postings, interviewing, hiring, and overall onboarding of direct reports. 
    • Provide supervision and ongoing training of direct reports and complete continuous monitoring and auditing of responsibilities.   
    • Maintain and update job descriptions, competencies, and personnel files for direct reports. 
    • Conduct timely and quality-based performance appraisals according to established Origami policies and procedures for direct reports. 
    • Participate in the hiring, training, accountability, evaluation, development, mentoring, succession planning, and performance review of direct reports and clinical team members. 
    • Make recommendations to the CM about merit increases for direct reports. 
    • Maintain an awareness of, and operate within, budgetary constraints applicable to clinical services provided by direct reports (i.e., supplies, staff development, merit increases). 
    • In collaboration with CM and other clinical supervisors, evaluate, oversee, and provide progressive training and opportunities for clinical team growth and development, including research, presentations, and publications.  
    • Assure the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans and services rendered are consistent with the program statement, approved treatment plans, and resource allocations. 
    • Ensure evidence-based practices are utilized to promote positive outcome measures and quality of life.  
    • Assume responsibility for knowledge and implementation of program policies and procedures. 
    • Assist the CM with quality assurance reviews of clinical reports are set to send to external stakeholders. Reviews include grammatical and content related review (goal writing, continuity of timeframes as compared to the previous reports, consideration of the funding source, etc.).  
    • Oversee discipline specific supply inventory and preventative maintenance equipment quality control measures.  
    • Assess weekly schedule trackers, productivity, and billing encounters to implement necessary actions for business needs. 

     

    Program Development Responsibilities 

    • Guide staff in developing cohesive holistic individualized care plans for those we serve utilizing both group and individual therapies and building upon the unique and traditional resources available at Origami. 
    • Coordinate and ensure interns, volunteers, and job shadows in the rehabilitation disciplines are incorporated into the organization in a way that provides a meaningful educational experience and demonstrates to them the strengths of the program.  
    • Maintain a structure of organizational processes and meetings with direct reports which facilitates the exchange of information, clarity of purpose, and progress towards goals. 
    • Facilitate staff retention and incentive initiatives to maintain a strong continuum of quality-based rehabilitation services.  
    • Engage employees in a positive work environment to promote retention, satisfaction, and involvement in organizational initiatives.  
    • Contribute to comprehensive performance measure and management system. 
    • Participate in preparation and ongoing processes for CARF accreditation. 
    • Actively participate in the strategic development of the organization. 

     

    As Needed: 

    • Serve as backup to direct reports. 
    • Attend, coordinate, and/or lead staff meetings and in-service trainings as assigned. 
    • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team in establishing individualized goals, plans of care, and discharge plans. 
    • Other duties as assigned by the CM.  

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities 

     

    Mental Health Supervisor carries supervisory responsibilities for the following position: Mental Health Therapists 

     

    The primary role of each supervisor is to provide an effective link between management and non-management employees. Supervisors must, in addition to mastering the technical skills needed for their team members, be able to lead and motivate their employees to do their jobs effectively and efficiently. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring the goals regarding employee conduct and performance established by management are achieved and that the policies established are implemented. Supervisors are responsible for providing orientation, training, and supervision to assigned volunteers and interns. 


    Requirements

    • LP, LLP, LPC or LMSW licensure

    Preferred Experience

    • Clinical or rehabilitation counseling experience with neurological dysfunction
    • 1 years’ experience with children, adolescents, or adults in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst
    • Certified Brain Injury Specialist


    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to stand, walk, and sit (use hands to palpate, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel or crawl, and taste or smell). Accommodated alternatives are acceptable if they accomplish the necessary essential tasks. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
