Rehabilitation Services Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of the rehabilitation therapy function. Supervises the delivery of therapy programs to patients. Being a Rehabilitation Services Supervisor responsibilities include providing consultation to and monitoring the performance of the rehabilitation staff. Oversees staff and ensures that all policies and procedures are followed as set forth by the health care facility. Additionally, Rehabilitation Services Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a license in the area of specialization. The Rehabilitation Services Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Rehabilitation Services Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Position Overview:

    The primary purpose of your job position is to assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing our facility’s social service programs in accordance with current existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures, to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.

    Essential Duties (include but are not limited to):

    • Assist the Social Service Director/Consultant in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing of the social service programs of this facility.
    • Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff, and other related departments in planning social services, as directed.
    • Assist in the development, administering, and coordinating of department policies and procedures.
    • Review department policies and procedures, at least annually, and participate in making recommended changes.
    • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for identifying the medically related social and emotional needs of the resident.
    • Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family.

    Qualifications:

    • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster (if eligible) will be required for all facility employees (requests for accommodation due to medical exemption or religious belief will be reviewed).
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
    • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
    • Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.
    • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
    • Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
    • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
