Rehabilitation Services Supervisor jobs in Roanoke, VA
Rehabilitation Services Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of the rehabilitation therapy function. Supervises the delivery of therapy programs to patients. Being a Rehabilitation Services Supervisor responsibilities include providing consultation to and monitoring the performance of the rehabilitation staff. Oversees staff and ensures that all policies and procedures are followed as set forth by the health care facility. Additionally, Rehabilitation Services Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a license in the area of specialization. The Rehabilitation Services Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Rehabilitation Services Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. As the RN House Supervisor you will be a key player to help oversee the nursing department in the DON’s absence. You will review staffing at the change of a shift and assigns and replaces staff to meet patient care needs. Complete patient care rounds. Coordinate admissions, transfers and /or discharges and ensures appropriate documentation. Assist in orientation of evening and night shift employees. Supervise and evaluate evening and night shift employees.
Qualified candidates will be a licensed RN and have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a nurse as well as experience in acute setting.
