JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Specialist acts as a resource for the Bryan, TX plant and provides HR support for the administration of a wide range of Human Resources programs at a multi-shift manufacturing facility.
The Specialist will support administrative activities across all NorPro businesses in North America. The responsibility includes, but are not limited to employee relations, benefits, recruiting, Human Capital Management Systems, compensation, training, recruiting, and compliance with all applicable laws.
This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and will play an important role with helping the site to achieve business goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
Support, maintain and continuously improve HR programs at the corporate level; actively work on ideas and projects to improve the HR function.
facilitates new employee orientations for the site; creates advertisements and works with external agencies on recruitment efforts.
Supports the process for hourly / non-exempt population in employee development through annual / mid-year Performance Reviews.
Assists in the coordination / administration / recommendations of the annual merit and incentive processes in coordination with department and HR leadership.
Ensure integrity of job descriptions and aligns position changes are within Compensation guidelines.
Supports the HR Manager to provide consultative for workforce issues in areas of talent acquisition, employee relations, employee development / retention to counsel related to employee relations and development of teams and staff.
Recommending training and development opportunities to address gaps identified by management, supervisors and / or employees.
Compliance Leader for internal controls, EEO / VETS within NorPro. Provide recommendations on processes to meet internal business compliance controls, create and administer auditing protocols. Lead reporting efforts.
