Reinsurance Director is responsible for the administration of reinsurance plans. Maintains plan records and ensures compliance with federal regulations. Being a Reinsurance Director communicates with customers and assists with plan design and distribution when necessary. Ensures timely accounting, reporting and auditing. Additionally, Reinsurance Director researches and analyzes reinsurance prices and specifications. Communicates with underwriting area to verify the proper reinsurance administration is put in place. Supports the investigation of proposed reinsurance opportunities, rate comparisons, and profitability analysis. May have responsibility for reinsurance customer service. Has attained industry designations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Reinsurance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Reinsurance Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Director of Ohio Region:
#1. Must have PE License
#2. 10 years of experience in bridge or roadway design and related transportation structures and facilities
#3. No more than three jobs in the past 10 years.
#4. Experience preparing roadway/structure plans for ODOT projects
#5. Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
#6. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities of the Director:
The Director of Ohio Region leads our Columbus office and oversees our operations in Ohio. The Director is responsible for all activities of the Ohio office including business development, project delivery, client development and relations, the professional and technical development of staff, and office management and success. This position requires exceptional communication skills, strong team orientation, and the ability to successfully manage multiple business lines. This leader will work with collaborative partnerships with the management team, other Office Managers, Project Managers, Marketing, HR, Accounting, and others.
