Being a Reinsurance Specialist performs reconciliation of premium billing statements and DAC tax calculations and maintenance of various reinsurance operations. Researches and resolves the more complex cases and provides guidance to others. Additionally, Reinsurance Specialist may review work performed by others and train new staff. Works towards industry designations (e.g., FLMI, ARA, ACS, etc.). Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Essential Duties and Qualifications:
- Attend outpatient clinics and Hospital patients by participating in the initial evaluation, as well as, longitudinal care of patients.
- Obtain detailed medical history and perform comprehensive physical examination of patients.
- Perform laser therapy for a variety of conditions including wound care, pain and inflammation, nail disorders.
- Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing.
- Complete appropriate documentation of all evaluations, care and services rendered to the patient in their medical record in a timely fashion.
- Make appropriate referral for consultations when indicated.
- Provide both pre and post-operative patient education to patients and their families.
- Respond to telephone inquiries of patients and provide appropriate medical care, referral for consultation or counseling.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted medical license as a nurse practitioner within the state of Ohio.
- Ability to develop relationships with network and community physicians and other providers.
- Current DEA licensure and prescriptive authority in Ohio
- Ability to work on-site with diverse care teams in a variety of settings
- Effective time management and communication skills
