Reinsurance Specialist performs routine reinsurance administrative duties, such as maintaining records, processing and verifying new business. Organizes the preparation of monthly and annual reports and ensures reinsurance information has been recorded accurately. Being a Reinsurance Specialist performs reconciliation of premium billing statements and DAC tax calculations and maintenance of various reinsurance operations. Researches and resolves the more complex cases and provides guidance to others. Additionally, Reinsurance Specialist may review work performed by others and train new staff. Works towards industry designations (e.g., FLMI, ARA, ACS, etc.). Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. ARC is now interviewing to hire a Business Support Specialist. This position is located at our offices in Clinton, Missouri just off the downtown square. The Business Support Specialist lies within the Operations and Logistics Department, and this position reports directly to the Senior Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Business Support Specialist is to work with our existing clients who have support requests. These requests include tasks such as: deleting contracts in their online portal, setting up new client users in our software applications, preparing new client agreements, collecting W9s and client identification documents such as driver’s licenses and passports, maintaining client files and updating status and client notes in our client retention management system. Other primary responsibilities will be coordinating claim issues with clients and insurance / administration company, ordering point of sale materials for clients and providing an overall enthusiastic representation on the phone and in emails to our client base.
The secondary responsibility of this position is to provide detail support of the logistical efforts of our events planning department. This will include tasks such as: reviewing the accuracy of all client meeting materials, binding, typing and or editing / printing meeting materials, shipping materials, as well as material inventory management.
The third responsibility of this position is managing our interactive software, which includes: adding new users, deleting old users, learning the LightSpeedTV software, adding new content to the online library, partitioning new accounts and providing a basic overview of how to login to the portal with users.
Last, other duties may include answering inbound phone calls, greeting vendors and clients in the office, preparing for inter-company executive meetings, and attending training via zoom.
