Works towards industry designations (e.g., FLMI, ARA, ACS, etc.). Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Job Title: Service Technician l Level 1
Reports to: Branch Manager
Learning period: 90-days
Must possess a positive attitude, good customer service skills, present a professional image, observe all company safety regulations, follow employee handbook guidelines and policy and procedures.
Essential Duties:
· Maintenance, repair, fueling of Service Customer generators and compressors.
· Preventative maintenance, load bank, and field repairs of 10kW–320kW generators.
· Generator Controls: H Panel, Voltage Regulator.
· Transfer Switch: Diagnostic/repair on all brands.
· Assist Senior Technicians with field service repairs.
· Delivery, pick-up, and set-up of generators, light towers, cable and accessories.
· Working knowledge of D/C and A/C electrical systems
· Working knowledge of Diesel, Natural Gas, LP Vapor engine maintenance, repair and troubleshooting.
· Load bank and NFPA110/Life Safety
Training/Certifications:
· Engine small bore.
· RV, Portable, Air-Cooled Generators.
· Commercial I, II Certifications.
· 1-year FT4 experience or equivalent.
