Reinsurance Specialist performs routine reinsurance administrative duties, such as maintaining records, processing and verifying new business. Organizes the preparation of monthly and annual reports and ensures reinsurance information has been recorded accurately. Being a Reinsurance Specialist performs reconciliation of premium billing statements and DAC tax calculations and maintenance of various reinsurance operations. Researches and resolves the more complex cases and provides guidance to others. Additionally, Reinsurance Specialist may review work performed by others and train new staff. Works towards industry designations (e.g., FLMI, ARA, ACS, etc.). Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Reinsurance Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. JOB DESCRIPTION: Prevention Specialists assesses the needs and wants of youth and families and provides linkages and referrals for resources and supportive services.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
- Collaborate with consultants, school districts, and community service providers to facilitate training, workshops, webinars, assemblies
- Collaborate closely with school administrators, counselors, and support personnel as required in order to effectively deliver required supports to students and their families
- Attentive and responsive to participants needs and wants in a helpful, supportive, timely manner
- Works collaboratively with program staff and community resources to provide viable services
- Assist with the planning and implementation of program activities
- Attend program meetings and trainings
- Play an active role in meetings and trainings designed to enhance program operations
- Provides culturally competent service delivery
- Effectively engages participants to continually access needs
- Provides appropriate intervention strategies, as needed, and adjusts services accordingly
- Assist in programmatic data collection, reporting, continuous quality improvement processes and evaluation of services
- Attend community meeting
- Assist with outreach efforts
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree preferred in human services or other related field
- Minimum of one-year experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Computer literate and proficient in using applicable software
- Experience implementing evidence-based treatment and prevention programs is strongly preferred
- Experience working with and empowering youth and marginalized communities by conducting prevention education
