Relationship Manager - Sales manages personal banking staff and daily operations to ensure customer satisfaction and develop client relationships. Focuses teams on identifying customer needs and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all bank products and services to explain, promote, and cross-sell products and services. Being a Relationship Manager - Sales ensures efficient processing of basic branch service transactions and accurate referrals to enable customers to access the right resource to facilitate other banking requests easily. Develops processes that enable staff to provide rapid research and solutions to account issues, answers to customer inquiries, and effective education and training on banking self-service technology. Additionally, Relationship Manager - Sales requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Relationship Manager - Sales supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.   • TITLE: Relationship Manager
    REPORTS TO: Chief Development Officer
    STARTING SALARY: 85,000.00

    PURPOSE OF POSITION: Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Relationship Manager develops and manages a portfolio of key donors through moves management, leading them on a donor journey to maximize their lifetime value to our critical mission. The Relationship Manager is responsible for developing strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors with a special focus on transformational giving prospects.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Covenant House Florida reserves the right to unilaterally modify, remove, or add to any of the following:

    • Provide meaningful and curated stewardship that inspires and motivates increased giving over time.
    • Thoughtfully create and execute moves management plans to retain and upgrade supporters by participating in each step of the donor pipeline including identification; qualification through research; cultivation; briefing; request for support; and prompt follow up, stewardship, and recognition.
    • Work closely with Chief Development Officer to develop authentic relationships with donors that lead to the solicitation of 5 figure contributions and planned gifts.
    • Work closely with Covenant House International on Major Giving Program, Development support program and Customer Relationship Management.
    • Develop and implement strategies which will maximize the donor’s capacity to support Covenant House Florida services in short and long-term capacities (current giving as well as planned giving).
    • Create tailored proposals for key major individual donors based on giving history, preference and information gathered through research and personal meetings.
    • Ensure donor portfolio records are current with all necessary and pertinent information, input contacts and interactions into donor database regularly, and utilize donor data in the to assess personal progress and performance.
    • Participate in Covenant House Florida networking, public speaking, and social media events.
    • Make direct, face-to-face solicitations, and assist the board and other staff with their solicitation (e.g. provide portfolio development support, strategic counsel, and help with donor communications)
    • Work with Chief Development Officer to solicit funders for the Covenant House Florida Capital Campaign dedicated to building a new home for Covenant House Florida youth.
    • Attend fundraising seminars and training that are relevant to the position, travel for donor meetings, receptions, major fundraising events, staff retreats and staff meetings.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Leadership or requested by fellow members of the Covenant House development community.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION:


    Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.


    EXPERIENCE:


    Five to ten years of major giving, sales, or other similar experience.


    SCHEDULE:


    Working flexible hours as required to meet client needs during events which may take place outside of regular Monday-Friday business hours; this may include evenings, weekends, and early mornings.


    SKILLS:


    Must be a self-starter, goal oriented and team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have demonstrated ability to personalize Covenant House Florida Mission to donors depending upon demographic variables and exercise appropriate judgement. Strong problem solving and negotiating skills with the ability to persuade and motivate others. Excellent communication skills as demonstrated by concise, timely and professional correspondence, both written and verbal. Must be able to utilize and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook, donor base management systems, and internet-based software.


    TRANSPORTATION
    :


    Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving record. This position requires the incumbent to travel regularly to visit key donors throughout Florida.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work occasionally in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. Ability to work standing, walking, and/or sitting a minimum of 8 hours per day/shift. Some weekend/holiday work may be required. Ability to drive agency or personal vehicles to transport items and/or persons.

    Ability to travel as needed for training or to fulfill job requirements.


    SUPERVISORY DUTIES:


    There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.
