Relationship Manager - Sales manages personal banking staff and daily operations to ensure customer satisfaction and develop client relationships. Focuses teams on identifying customer needs and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all bank products and services to explain, promote, and cross-sell products and services. Being a Relationship Manager - Sales ensures efficient processing of basic branch service transactions and accurate referrals to enable customers to access the right resource to facilitate other banking requests easily. Develops processes that enable staff to provide rapid research and solutions to account issues, answers to customer inquiries, and effective education and training on banking self-service technology. Additionally, Relationship Manager - Sales requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Relationship Manager - Sales supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.   • API is seeking a seasoned professional for the role of Relationship Manager to join our team and take charge of managing our airline client at our Headquarters in Melville, NY. As a Relationship Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for the airline and will be responsible for ensuring the success and long-term partnership with our company.
    The position will be based in our headquarters office located in Melville, New York.
    The Relationship Manager will collaborate with internal teams such as Technology, Operations, and Product, to coordinate project activities and ensure all milestones are achieved.

    The Relationship Manager will act as the voice of the customer, making sure that all delivery functions - Technology, Operations, Product, and Accounting - are consistent and in line with achieving our customer’s success. 

    The Relationship Manager will utilize their proven project management skills facilitate strategic initiatives on our client’s behalf.


    Essential Functions

    • Build Strong Client Relationships: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the airline's business objectives, challenges, and opportunities. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to become a trusted advisor and advocate for the airline within our organization.
    • Customer Onboarding and Training: Lead the successful onboarding process for the airline, ensuring a smooth transition and thorough understanding of our products and services. Provide training and support to key personnel, ensuring they can leverage our solutions effectively.
    • Customer Success Planning: Collaborate with the airline to establish clear success metrics and goals. Create and execute customized success plans that align with their objectives, ensuring continuous value delivery throughout their journey.
    • Proactive Issue Resolution: Anticipate and address any issues or concerns raised by the airline promptly and effectively. Work cross-functionally within our organization to find solutions and ensure a seamless customer experience.
    • Customer Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews with the airline, presenting insights and data to showcase the value they are gaining from our partnership. Identify areas for improvement and offer strategic recommendations.
    • Upselling and Renewals: Collaborate with the Sales team to identify upsell opportunities and engage in renewal discussions with the airline. Ensure a smooth renewal process, emphasizing the ongoing value of our solutions.
    • Product Feedback and Enhancement: Gather feedback from the airline regarding our products and services. Advocate for their needs and work closely with the Product team to ensure continuous improvement and enhancement of our offerings.
    • Customer Advocacy: Represent the airline's interests within our organization, ensuring their voice is heard in product development, marketing, and strategic planning.
    • Customer Engagement and Satisfaction: Develop and execute customer engagement programs to enhance satisfaction and promote loyalty. Measure and track customer satisfaction levels and take proactive measures to address any concerns.

    Compensation

    The good faith compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually.

    This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, normal core business hours. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    Required Education and Experience
    • Proven experience (at least 3-5 years) as a Relationship Manager or similar managerial position
    • BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
    • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
    • Excellent knowledge if performance evaluation and change management principles
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office: working knowledge of program/project management software
    • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent problem-solving problem solving and analytical abilities
    • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving customer success and satisfaction.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

    • Flexibility to travel monthly to meet with the airline at their location.
