Relationship Manager - Sales manages personal banking staff and daily operations to ensure customer satisfaction and develop client relationships. Focuses teams on identifying customer needs and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all bank products and services to explain, promote, and cross-sell products and services. Being a Relationship Manager - Sales ensures efficient processing of basic branch service transactions and accurate referrals to enable customers to access the right resource to facilitate other banking requests easily. Develops processes that enable staff to provide rapid research and solutions to account issues, answers to customer inquiries, and effective education and training on banking self-service technology. Additionally, Relationship Manager - Sales requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Relationship Manager - Sales supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.   • POSITION SUMMARY:
    Works closely with regional and market leadership to ensure adherence to the Regional Director (RD) Playbook and consistent utilization and implementation of client relationship plans. Drives the relationship plan setup and adherence during new client start-up, ongoing through renewals, and watchlist scenarios. Assists in new business efforts to close deals, establish the relationship, and develop the client relationship plan. While on-site, collaborates with Operational Leadership, on-site team, and clients to update relationship plan as well as appropriate processes and procedures, improvements, and ultimately the best business practices possible to strengthen the relationship and optimize service delivery.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Educates and trains executive leadership on Regional Director Playbook and Relationship plan implementation
    • Works with Market Leaders, Vice Presidents, and Regional Directors on RD Playbook adherence and relationship plan management
    • Promotes and tracks utilization of Regional Director Dashboard
    • Plays a key role in new client startup to ensure appropriate executive involvement and relationship plan setup / implementation
    • Participates in new business opportunities, including proposal, presentation, and new client meetings as appropriate
    • Drives blue chip client relationships in startup, transition, and/or watch list status as applicable including working on-site as needed, assuming numerous responsibilities while at the community including:
    • Developing and implementing client relationship plan
    • Providing executive leadership with insight as to current community happenings and overall relationship with on-site team and client
    • Leading and managing on-site team members, often assuming the role of Community Manager or General Manager including all responsibilities that come with this position
    • Conducting operations assessment
    • Implementing operational improvements and procedures based on assessment results
    • Delivering and holding accountable the expectations of Global Service Standards / FirstCall
    • Advising community and management on best practices for operational areas of community management
    • Attending committee and board meetings to share updates and best practices
    • Introduces and works with regional resources and subject matter experts to deliver optimal service value
    • Conducting Board Training and Orientation, when applicable
    • Educating community on utilization of SOPS
    • Providing continuous guidance on the utilization of SOPs
    • Use of company tools, policies, and philosophies in the job, and integration to the team and staff
    • Coordination of technology solutions integration as needed - Website, Connect, etc.
    • Implementing critical on-site management checklists
    • Identifying training needs for associates and implement programs, where applicable.
    • Actively shares learnings that comes from each community with Market and Operational Leadership to optimize service
    OPERATING SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
    Education/Training:
    • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business or related field from a four year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Proficient level of computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and use of graphics.
    • Proven experience handling multiple projects simultaneously, and working in an environment, which requires flexibility, innovation, superb customer service skills, and organization
    • Experience delivering effective presentations and training material to a variety of audiences
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, leases, regulations or documents with a similar degree of complexity.
    • Demonstrated and proven problem solving and decision making skills
    • Ability to travel approximately 50%.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Broad-based leadership/management experience required
    Physical Requirements:
    • Capable of working extended hours, to include, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
    • Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing, with corrective lenses if needed.
    • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities, to include the exchange and receipt of information over the telephone.
    • Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 25 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day.
    • Required to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time as well as talking on the phone for extended periods of time.
    • The position involves working indoors in a controlled climate and, periodically, working outdoors in varying climates.
    • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
    • Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.
    • Driving required.
    • Ability to respond to emergencies on a timely manner.
    Environmental:
    • Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances. For safety reasons, employee must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns.
    • Must be able to work effectively and cheerfully in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.
