POSITION PURPOSE:
As an Outside Sales Representative for our trailer and truck bed sales and service shop, you will be responsible for generating leads, cultivating relationships, and closing sales with customers in need of trailers and truck beds, as well as related services. This role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the trailer and truck bed industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Identify and pursue sales opportunities by prospecting and cold calling potential customers in various industries requiring trailers and truck beds.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
3. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our trailers and truck beds.
4. Provide personalized solutions to meet the specific needs and requirements of each customer.
5. Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts in a timely manner.
6. Negotiate pricing and terms to close sales and maximize profitability.
7. Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop strategies for reaching sales targets and expanding market reach.
8. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth.
9. Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to promote our products and services and generate leads.
10. Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues.
11. Coordinate with the service department to schedule installations, repairs, and maintenance for customers.
12. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline using CRM software.
13. Provide feedback to management regarding market trends, customer preferences, and product improvements.
14. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
2. Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably in the automotive, trailer, or trucking industry.
3. Strong knowledge of trailers, truck beds, and related accessories, as well as familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
5. Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations.
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
7. Proficient in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
8. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
