Position being recruited to support the Acute Care Division and associated Workstreams.
Sentara Healthcare’s Information Technology division is seeking a proven leader at the individual contributor level to join the Business Relationship Management team. The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will work as the strategic interface and trusted advisor between the business and IT to deliver technology solutions that align with the business’s strategic initiatives and goals. The BRM will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships, understanding the business value of new IT requests, advising business partners on technical implications and solution options, IT portfolio management, and supporting senior members of the team in achieving desired results through the delivery of technology solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in relationship management, consulting, or business development within a technical discipline, must be able to communicate clearly, negotiate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances, and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
The BRM currently being recruited will support the Acute Care division of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a knowledge of business operations that support functions within the acute care setting of patient care. Specific knowledge of business operations related to acute care setting and hospital operations is preferred. Previous information technology experience to include project management and/or core information technology fundamentals of service management highly desired. In addition, clinical experience, licensure, education and/or proven knowledge within one or more of these areas will be greatly beneficial.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
•Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in areas of IT, healthcare or business relationship management, process engineering, and/or business analysis or other related experience.
•Clinical experience within the service areas of acute, post-acute, clinical service line and/or project management is preferred.
